Comilla T. Richards
Comilla Tucker Richards, 91, of Simpsonville, SC, wife of James T. Richards, passed away on August 10, 2025. Born in Fountain Inn, SC, she was the daughter of the late Howard Nathaniel Tucker and Rosa Lou Stephens Tucker.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Rosa Little (Ronald); three grandchildren, April Baskin (Scott), Alisha Brooks (Joshua), and Nikki Brooks (Cody); nine great grandchildren, Lucas Baskin, Zachary Baskin, Maci Cross, Connor Brooks, Chloe Cross, Liliana Brooks, Kylie Brooks, Seth Brooks, and Curtis James “CJ” Brooks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Childress (Albert); and four siblings, Joe Stephens Tucker, William “Billy” Tucker, Hugh Tucker, and Herbert Tucker.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 4:00 pm in the chapel of Cannon Byrd Funeral Home – Fountain Inn. Interment will follow in Cannon Byrd Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home starting at 3:00 pm.

I am so sorry about your loss. It hurt my heart for you both. I am praying for the Lord to give you strength and comfort. I won’t be able to be at the funeral because I have an appointment in Charleston on Wednesday at MUSC. It has been made for some time. I’ll try to see you as soon as I get back home. I love you both bunches.

Rosa, and family it’s hard for me to express the sadness I am feeling. Ms. Camilla was the sweetest lady I’ve known. I am truly sorry for your loss. I pray God’s Peace surrounds your family in this difficult time.
My sympathies to the Richards and Tucker families. I have known them since teenage years.
