Mrs. Lois, I was so saddened to hear the my friend Walter had passed away. I became friends with Walter while we both worked for American Security. I was always a pleasure to see him, with his friendly smile, and warm greeting. Along with being a gentleman in all ways, he was a Christian, and it showed. I do not remember ever hearing him say a cross or demeaning word, about anyone. He had to discharge an officer from time to time but did it with dignity. I am sure that all who knew and loved him will sorely miss him. May God make smooth the path before all of you, in the days and months ahead. I know that I will miss my friend Walter. RIP, I know Heaven will be well guarded.

Mrs. Grill – I am saddened to learn of Walt’s passing, but I know he now walks with our Lord. Walt befriended me at American Security. He was a very thorough man, and extremely dedicated to both his work and his co-workers. Most of all, he loved the Lord and his family. He mentioned you and the rest of your family many times in our talks. We will all miss Walt, but I know I will again shake the General’s hand one day, when I join him on the other side. May God Bless You and keep you. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.
    Most respectfully,
    Matt Jamison

I never had the pleasure of knowing Walter Grill, Jr. or his father, Walter K. Grill, Sr.. I am Judy Grill Sanders and I related to both of these gentlemen since my grandfather was Arthur N. Grill, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Arty was Walter’s brother and he and his wife Anona raised my sister and I in Norton Shores, Michigan.

I sincerely hope that Walter’s loved ones are healing from their grief now.

I recently started researching my Grill family and I have visited the family plot in Rosedale Cemetery in Michigan.
