Susan Edwards Fitzmaurice
Susan E. Fitzmaurice, 61, of Simpsonville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 30, 2020.
Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of Carol & Myron Alderman. She was a member of Fork Shoals Baptist Church.
Ms. Fitzmaurice is survived by her children, Joseph Gillespie (Tiffany), Sabreena Gillespie, Nathaniel Gillespie, and Katelyn Gillespie; grandchildren, Zachary Gillespie, Kyle Heard, Elijah Gillespie, Nathan Gillespie, Jr., Jackson Gillespie, Destiny Beaman, and Chasity Layher; sisters, Sandi Jenkins (Doug), and Mary Beth Edwards; and her sister-in-law, Teri Edwards.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Edwards.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Cannon Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Carol, Myron, Sandi,Doug and the rest of the family members, I was so saddened to learn that Susan had passed away. I know the pain and heartache that you are going through. We have know each other for many years, during our long time. in law enforcement. I almost feel like a family member myself. We sometimes do not understand why our children are taken before the parents. However we don’t question why God’s plans seem unfair to us, but that doesn’t take away the pain. May God make smooth the path before yo in the days and months ahead.
