Spencer Charles Templeton

With God’s “Amazing Grace”, Spencer was able to meet his Lord and Savior face to face on April 3, 2026. He had struggled with Polymyositis, an incurable auto immune disease for 18 months.

Spencer was the devoted husband to Kim Ford Templeton. Kim’s sons Chance and Cameron (Carson) brought great pride to him. Nothing compared to his affection for grandsons, Easton and Mac. They truly held a special place in his heart.

Spencer’s parents, Morris and Nancy Templeton, raised him in the “nurture and admonition of the Lord” in their home and at Simpsonville First Baptist.

He is survived by his brother, Scott (Tammy).

He was dearly loved by his Parker Family and his Ford Family.

Spencer worked for Ashmore Brothers for 38 Years and for the past 5 Years he was with McClam and Associates. Spencer seldom met a mechanical challenge he couldn’t conquer. When it came to anything mechanical he had an uncanny ability to just hear a sound and know what the problem was and how to fix it. People always said ask Spencer, he can figure it out and fix anything!

Home was his happy place and time with his family and friends was always a priority. He loved his family with all his heart. His kindness and generosity were a gift to anyone that knew him. There will never ever be another man like Spencer Templeton. He truly was one of a kind and will be missed by so many.

The Celebration of Life service will be Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 4:00 pm a Cannon Byrd Funeral Home – Simpsonville, 313 N. Main St., Simpsonville with Pastor Randy Harling officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Myositis Association, 6950 Columbia Gateway Dr. Ste 370, Columbia, MD 21046 or via (800) 821-7356.

I was absolutely heart broken to hear that Spencer had passed. I’m a service advisor for Wilson Chevrolet and previously at Wilson Chrysler in Winnsboro. I dealt with Spencer for every repair needed. He always made the difficult calls easy. Very understanding and nice to deal with. He never ended a call without making me laugh. He will dearly missed by all of us at Wilson Chevrolet and Wilson Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram. Sending my condolences and prayers to all affected by this loss.

Kim,Morris,Nancy, all of the Ford family & & friends of Spencer. Harold & I wish to tell you how sorry we are for your loss of Spencer. I didn’t know him but Harold did. By all accounts he was a remarkable man. I have known the Ford family for decades. I know your greatest consolation & peace is that he was welcomed into the arms of Jesus & he suffers no longer. God be with you all in the months to come & keep your mind on how happy & healthy he is now & one glorious day you will meet again forever more. We love you all.
