Rose Burden

Rose Anner Meeks Burden, 88, of Laurens, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 6, 2021.

Ms. Burden was born in Fountain Inn to the late John Thomas Meeks and Nannie Brown Meeks.  She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Laurens. Rose loved drawing, painting, gardening and was multitalented. 

Surviving, are a son, Byron Williams, and wife Judy; a daughter; Rosemary Fowler; a daughter-in-law, Janice; six grandchildren, Amber Williams Taylor and husband Micah, Patrick Armstrong and wife Jennifer, Joel Armstrong and Heather,  Gary Armstrong, Jr., Dannette Messick and husband Jimmy and Dawn Leopard; seventeen great-grandchildren, Atalaya, Carson, Emily, Brandon, Tristan, Tagan, Payton, Jade, Alexis, Keria, Shayla, Rayna, Ethan, Noah, David, Blake and Joel and wife Danielle and five great-great-grandchildren, Christopher, Kinley, Hannah, Garrett and Nicholas. She was predeceased by a son, Gary Armstrong, Sr., a brother, James Meeks and four sisters, Cornelia Coruthers, Sara Alberson, Nell Leathers and Vera Armstrong.

Funeral Services will be 11:30am Wednesday in the chapel of Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
