Ronald “Ron” Marvin Feld

Ronald M. Feld, 77, of Simpsonville, husband of Margaret Millar Feld, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2020 while at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Carroll, Iowa, he was a son of the late Linus Henry & Clara Feld.

In addition to his wife, Margaret, Mr. Feld is survived by their daughters, Jennifer DeGraw and her husband, Ryan, of Simpsonville, and Erin Lasser and her husband, Brett, of Orlando, FL; six grandchildren, Madeline Hester, Penelope DeGraw, Gordon DeGraw, Reese Lasser, Nora Lasser, and Keegan Lasser; one brother, Jim Feld of TN; and one sister, Jean Snyder of IA.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Vern Feld.

Ron and Margaret moved to Simpsonville in August, 1991. Shortly after, Ron retired from NCR, but soon began working again for BMW where he remained until retiring once more in 2008. After serving his country in the Navy aboard the USS Dixie, he married Margaret nearly 54 years ago. Being surrounded by his family brought him his greatest joy, but so did traveling, working in the yard and frequent trips to Lowe’s and Home Depot. To Ron, weekends were made for watching golf tournaments, NASCAR and Gamecock football. But most importantly, in retirement, every day was Sunday.

Ron’s family asks that memorials be made in his honor to the Alzheimer’s Association.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 2252 Woodruff Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29681. Inurnment will be in MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, 140 Inway Dr, Anderson, SC 29621 on Monday, June 29th at 3:00 pm with military honors.
