Rebecca Taylor

Rebecca Taylor, 80, of Simpsonville, widow of Phillip B. Taylor, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 30, 2022.

Born in Ansted, WV, she was the daughter of the late Hubert & Vera Morgan Armentrout. Mrs. Taylor was a long-time member of East Georgia Road Baptist Church.

She loved to cook and bake .  Large amounts of  cookies , pies, cakes, peanut brittle…. the list is endless.  She rarely ate any of her baked good treats but really liked watching others enjoy them!! Always thinking of others came easily to her! She also loved to sew and her true passion was playing the piano and singing! Her first appearance playing piano in church was at the age of 12.  She had a beautiful voice for singing and it gave her so much pleasure to accompany others in a song.

She is survived by her sons, Denny Pack and Dale Pack; her grandchildren, Sarah Jeanne Pack, and Megan Leigh Walker (Jake); a great grandchild, Everett Walker; and her brother, Wayne Armentrout.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 3:00 pm at East Georgia Road Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the church starting at 1:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: East Georgia Road Baptist Church, 724 SC 417, Simpsonville, SC 29681

Den & Dale, I am so sorry, your Mother was a very special person, our family is heartbroken for your loss. Wayne, I know you & Becky were very close but she is in heaven now. Lots of love to all

  • Ms Becky was such a sweet and friendly person
I used to love hearing her and Phil singing together in church
They would always give praises to the Lord and you knew they were true believers. I believe Phil was Ms Becky’s main spring and she is with family and friends she missed here on earth.

Becky was such a beautiful person inside and out. I so enjoyed spending time with, singing with, and getting to know her when I attended EGR. We were fellow Mountaineers having grown up in WV, she in Ansted and me in Rainelle. I am so sorry for your loss. May God’s peace surround you as you remember and grieve the loss if this wonderful lady.

I so loved my dear friend Becky! She was a wonderful Christian and loved playing the piano and singing for the Lord! We did many things over the years together: going to the same church, singing, going to West Virginia to visit her sweet mom and dad, visiting my family, working together 19 years, shopping and going out to eat. I am so sad I could not come for her services…but some health issues keeps me from being there on this day. Love, thoughts and prayers to all the dear family!
