Paul E. Langlais, aged 57, of Simpsonville, peacefully passed away on February 28th, 2021 after a long, fierce battle with poor health. A former resident of Somerset, Massachusetts and Pawtucket, Rhode Island, he moved to South Carolina in the summer of 2006 with his wife and children. He worked for twenty-seven years with McDonald’s, moving up the ladder to become a general manager.

He is survived by his wife of over thirty years, Christine, his sons Adam and Shane and his daughter Paige. He is also survived by his sisters Susan, Janine, and Denise, and brothers Albert and Bob, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

His extraordinary culinary abilities ensured that the many, many people he invited into his home were always well-fed. He enjoyed fishing, though he could never catch a fish. His unique and blunt sense of humor will be missed by all of those who were blessed to know him. His spirit and legacy will live on in the countless stories he has told throughout the years.

A memorial service to honor the life and legacy of Mr. Langlais will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 313 North Main St., Simpsonville on Friday, March 5th 2021 at 3:00 PM.

My deepest sympathy to the Langlais family. Paul & I grew up next door to each other and spent so much time together. We shared lots of fun times. He was a great friend. We lost touch the last few years but I enjoyed seeing his pictures of his family and saw how happy he was. May those memories comfort you all in this very sad time.

Christine and family. So sorry to learn about Paul’s passing. To say it was a shock would be an understatement. I know it’s been a long time since we crossed paths but I still hold the memories of my McDonalds days close to the heart. The people, the friendships, the comrade made me who I am today. Paul was a big part of that. You and your family are in my thoughts.
