Neil Howard Lanning
Neil Howard Lanning, 76, of Fountain Inn, husband of Brenda Aleshire Lanning, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Born in Neptune, NJ, he was a son of the late Horace A. & Mary Fitzgerald Lanning.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Lanning is survived by his children, Sean Lanning (Christina Kelly) of Hastings, FL, Ron Aleshire (Michelle) of Williamston, SC, and Cheryl Maxon (Aaron) of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren, Brian Kelly, Matthew Aleshire (Ingrid), Lee Miller, and Jessica Miller; and one sister, Suellen Lanning Bobbe.
Mr. Lanning was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Lanning.
“He loved NASCAR racing, collecting pedal cars of all sizes, and Coca-Cola memorabilia. He enjoyed visiting flea markets. He loved his dog, Winston, the beach, boating, and going to music festivals.”
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: James Monroe Mission House, 403 S. Weston St., Fountain Inn, SC 29644.

You totally shocked me when you called! Now Neil can be at peace. He was so good to drive you all the places we line danced and was so considerate to watch our stuff while we danced. He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Remember the good times!!
