Mildred Lovely Honeycutt

Mildred Lovely Honeycutt, 90, of Simpsonville, wife of Keith M. Honeycutt, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021.  Born in Belton, SC, she was a daughter of the late James Clarence Chapman and the late Marie Medlock Chapman Davis.

As a family, our hearts are full of sadness, along with rays of joy as we celebrate the life of Mildred. Mildred and Keith were married for 42 years, sharing a deep love and commitment to each other. She was a strong, independent and determined lady who was deeply committed to support those she loved and reached out to others. Mildred was a very active member of New Hope Baptist Church in Mauldin, SC for many years, where her outgoing personality blessed others through her hospitality ministry. Most of all she loved the Lord and knew she would spend eternity with Him.

In addition to her husband, Mildred is survived by seven children, Diane Burgess Etters of Pelzer, Keita Himes (Ken) of Columbus, GA, Sherri Hachee (Mike) of Simpsonville, Lisa Honeycutt of Fountain Inn, Sandy Conway (Jerry) of Kannapolis, NC, Greg Honeycutt of Simpsonville, and Brian Honeycutt of Simpsonville; eight grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by two brothers, James Robert Chapman and Clarence Milton Chapman.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021, from 5:30 to 6:30 at Heritage Funeral Home.  The Funeral Service will be at Heritage Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, beginning at 2:00 pm.  Entombment will follow the service at Greenville Memorial Gardens in Piedmont.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels of Greenville County, 15 Oregon Street, Greenville, SC 29605.

  • So sad and sorry to here of Mildred’s passing. What a beautiful and lovely lady. I always loved to see her. Not only was she beautiful on the outside, she was one of the most loving, kind hearted person you could ever meet. She is now an angel in heaven giving hugs to her Mom, Aunt Marie, and all her family. My prayers are with you all.
