Mary Sue Nelson

Mary Sue Nelson, 62, of Piedmont, widow of Robert Lee Nelson, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 26, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late William Jack Carter and the late Mary Frances Messer Carter.

Sue is survived by her son, Bobby Nelson and his wife, Tammy, of Fountain Inn; her granddaughter Kaylie Nelson; two sisters, Fran Taylor and Betsy Ford; and one brother Anthony Carter.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jody Carter.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Cannon Funeral Home beginning at 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm. A Graveside Service will follow at Graceland East Memorial Park beginning at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the America Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.

    My condolences to all of Mary’s Loved ones.

    John 11:24-25 Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life”.

    Do to the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ we all will see Mary as well as all of our loved ones again.
