Marsha Ann Bell Tokarczyk

Marsha Tokarczyk, 70, of Mount Pleasant, SC, wife of Mike Tokarczyk, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026.

Born in Montgomery, AL, she was a daughter of the late Robert S. Bell and the late Evelyn Bell-Cappelmann. Mrs. Tokarczyk was a devoted member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant, SC.

In addition to her husband (Mike), she is survived by her three daughters, Kelly Lewis (Kyle), Stacey Cohl (Brian), and Holly Rigsby (Geoff); and her five cherished grandchildren, Noah & Holden Lewis, Ava & Thomas Cohl, and Bennett Rigsby; one sister, Angela Bell Hopkins (Reedy); and one brother, Robert Bell, Jr. (Beth).

Marsha was a wonderful wife, sister, friend, mother and grandmother who gave joyfully and generously to her family and community. Throughout her life, she served others through numerous roles – as a high school math teacher at Summerville High School, a dedicated stay at home mother, and later as a small business owner.  Her creative spirit flourished through Whimsies by Marsha, her beloved jewelry business.

Marsha loved to make unique jewelry ranging from beaded necklaces and earrings to original designs like eyeglass holders and pins. She showcased her creations at statewide craft shows and had a booth in the historic Charleston market for over twenty five years. Her customers adored visiting her in the market, and her “whimsies” brightened many loved one’s special occasions.

Marsha was proud to grow up in the Old Village and raise her children in Mt. Pleasant. She attended the College of Charleston and carried a deep love of the Lowcountry. She was known for touching many lives with her generosity and simple favors, whether it was bringing someone a loaf of her famous sourdough bread or helping them with their home or pets in a time of need. She was strong in her faith and convictions, selfless, a lover of animals, creative, intelligent, and a wonderful storyteller. Her contagious laugh, colorful spirit, and radiant smile filled the room. She will be greatly missed.

Service arrangements will be announced once finalized. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Greenville Humane Society or Parkinson’s Foundation.

She loved all of you so much ,you were her world. I have said over the years how much I missed her calming influence . I hope in some way you can find that peace now and let her calm you through this time. I know as much as she wanted to be here for you. She would not want you sad at this time, she would want you to remember the happiness you shared and trust me you brought her a lifetime . Our love is with you now in our warm memories of her.
