Marilyn Green Williams
Marilyn Green Williams, 79, of Birmingham, AL, formerly of Fountain Inn, SC, wife of John F. Williams for 52 years, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
Mrs. Williams was born in 1945, daughter of the late A.E. & Edna Green. She played basketball in high school and at North Greenville College. Marilyn loved the outdoors and traveling. Together, Mr. & Mrs. Williams traveled the world “especially over the last twenty years while traveling to any place you would want to go.”
In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by their children, Matt Williams of Gray Court, Scott Williams of Jackson, MS; and Kyle Williams of Nashville, TN; and six grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Parker, Gage, Sawyer, Charlie, Chase & Emmie.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by one daughter, Kristen Adams of Montgomery, AL; and two of her sisters, Frances Hendrix and Jane Avella.
The Memorial Service for Mrs. Williams will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Cannon Byrd Funeral Home – Fountain Inn, 1150 N. Main St., Fountain Inn, SC 29644.
My husband and I are very sorry for your family’s loss. Matt and Chase are like our child and grandchild; I am Casey’s mother and she loves Mr. and Mrs. Williams and the entire family very much.
