Linda Ann Trotter

Linda A. Trotter, 73, of Piedmont, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 while surrounded by her family.

Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late R.L. Phillips and Helen Campbell Phillips. She was widow of James ‘Jimmy’ M. Trotter and John T.  ‘Tommy’ Barker.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbie Elrod of Piedmont, Joy Owens (Lamar Creswell) of Piedmont, and Tammy (Robbie) Strickland of Anderson; grandchildren, Taylor Elrod (Jamie) Grey, William Hal Elrod, Jr., Ali C. Owens, Walker H. Owens, Carson Lee Strickland, and McKenzie Strickland; great-grandchildren, Bristol “Honey” Rigney, Blakeley Grey, and Abigail Jackson; a brother, Eddie (Myrtle) Phillips; sisters, Sandra (Tim) Kelly, and Kay Barwick; a sister-in-law, Peggy Bohannah; many nieces and nephews, and other special family members including Hal Elrod, Benny Rigney, and Jerry Owens. She is also survived by her “four-legged friends” Dudley and Gabby.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edsel and Harold Phillips.

The family will hold a memorial celebration Saturday, January 12th at 4:00 PM at the Piedmont Community Center, 1 Main Street, Piedmont, SC 29673. “Everyone is welcome to stay after the service for dinner & memories. Please call Barbie Elrod @ 230-0419 if you need directions.”

    I am so very sorry for your loss. I would like to say that in Ecclesiastes 7:1 it says: A good name is better than a good ointment, And the day of one’s death is better than the day of one’s birth. Linda was blessed in both!!! Be happy!!! She is gone to be with Jesus!!!!

    We had alot of long talks she was a dear support alot of days for me .postive attitude and prayed alot an we talked about the Lord alot .she will be missed an I will think of her an the talks we shared .praying for all of you .in this time of loss .she is at home now .safe an as I look forward to the day we all go home she will be missed I know God bless you all .Crystal grey .
