Lawrence E. Hendrix
Lawrence E. Hendrix, 83, of Fountain Inn, passed away on February 7, 2018. He was the husband of the late Carolyn Hendrix and the son of the late Horace and Ollie Mae Weaver Hendrix. He was a member of Beech Springs Church and retired from JD Hollingsworth in sales.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan Spearman and her husband, Bill, of GA, and Terri Hilley and her husband, Mike, of Belton; one son, Steven Hendrix and his wife, Lisa, of Waterloo; seven grandchildren, Misty Phillips and her husband, Shane, Chris Riggins, Devin Riggins, Matthew Spearman and his wife, Alayna, all of GA; Brittany Cowart and her husband, Alex, of Travelers Rest; Joshua Hilley and Caleb Hilley of Central; and three great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Hipps; and one brother, Kenneth Hendrix.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Beech Springs Church at 12:00 PM. The family will receive friends starting at 11:00 AM prior to the service.
Burial will be in Cannon Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Beech Springs Church, P.O. 426, Pelzer, SC 29669 or to Lutheran Hospice, 429 North Main Street, Greenville, SC 29601.
So very saddened to hear that my friend Ed (as I have always known him) had passed away. To all the family(Steve, Susan, and Terri) may God: grace be with you and comfort you. May God make smooth the path before you in the day and months ahead. Ed along with my brothers lived near each other when we were growing up on the Fountain Inn Mill Village. Being a Christian, we have the hope that someday we will all meet again. This is the promise that Jesus gave us, in so simple terms. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved. May each of you have the peace that passes all understanding. Our love goes out to the entire family. Your friends in Christ.

Ed was one fine man. Worked with out in the plants for many years. Praying for the family.
Dear Hendrix Family: My deepest sympathy for the family and friends of Lawrence. We will never get used to losing our loved ones in death because as Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “We were created with everlasting life in view.” But may you find comfort in knowing that Almighty God has promised that soon he will swallow up death forever along with the pain that it brings.
