My sincere heartfelt condolences to Linda and her family. I enjoyed many years of wonderful conversation and banter with Gene. I am very pleased that he no longer suffers in pain. I am sure that he is with Our Lord. A famous quote from Mr. Gore: “I don’t believe I have ever been this mad”. Rest well, my friend.

  • My condolences to my good friend’s family. Gene and I go back more than 40 years. I used to love reading his signs that he posted at his Corvette World location on Laurens Road. He was a true American Patriot and he loved putting the government officials in their place. May Gene rest in Peace and know that he made a difference in many people’s lives. He is already missed.

Gene was a friend for over 45 years. His quick wit and humor could match Johnny Carson any day. My prayers go out to wife Linda, his children and siblings and his dedicated associate Dave. You never misunderstood where Gene stood on any issue. I will miss him.

  • Gene was the hardest working guy I know, both physically and mentally. Driving all over the south buying and selling as well as loading cars up on his trailer even early last year. His auctions required so much work as Dave and Gene always made those auctions an event one would not miss. Hats off to a ledged. His humor was one if a kind and addictive. 35 years of friendship and respect. I look forward to seeing you again and having more laughs Gene, but hopefully NOT SOON.
