Judy Taylor

Judy Taylor, 79, of Fountain Inn, widow of Charles K. Taylor, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, April 29, 2022.

Born in Fountain Inn, she was a daughter of the late Clyde & Cora Abercrombie. Mrs. Taylor was of the Methodist faith and a long-time member of Green Pond UMC.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by one son, Wendell Taylor, of Gray Court, and one daughter, Terry Peace and her husband, Alan, of Chapin; four grandchildren, Taylor Peace (Leah), Erica Hamrick (Jackson), Jessica Taylor, and Wen Taylor; six great-grandchildren, Della Grace Hamrick, Hampton Hamrick, Olivia Peace, Eleanor Peace, Mykenzie Bevis and Riley Steele; and one brother, Jim Abercrombie (Peggy Jo).

She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Green Pond United Methodist Church with Rev. Sharon Britz officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

A time of fellowship will be held in the Church Social Hall following the committal service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Green Pond UMC’s FROG’S PARK Fund.

  • Judy was such a kind and thoughtful lady. When my husband was taking chemo treatments she and Charles brought a blanket to him that the ladies at her church made. It meant so much to us. She was always thinking of others.
