Judith Mansfield Berger

Mrs. Judith Mansfield Berger passed away at her home around noon, Friday, October 1st, 2021, with her daughter Elizabeth and husband Michael at her side in Belton, South Carolina.

Judy was born on February 7th, 1946, in Enon Valley, Pennsylvania, and lived in both Pennsylvania and Akron, Ohio. Judy is survived by her spouse of 54 and ½ years Michael Ryan Berger from Columbus, Ohio; her six children Daniel Berger, Gwen Turner, Elizabeth Berger, Samuel Berger, Ryan Berger, and Scott Berger; twelve grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Judy was an expert at architectural & interior design, a master seamstress, and an embroiderer. She bred and raised Dutch warm-blood Hunter jumper horses, Low Line Angus Cattle, and big scary dogs.  She was a fabulous cook, baker, and mentor of a thousand skills, a homemaker, loved the outdoors, gardening, boating with her husband, reading books and novels, and baking with her grandchildren. Judy had such a sweet soul, believed in the power of prayer, and would go out of her way to help others in need.

Judy was the living example of a PROVERBS 31 woman who loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength. She truly loved others with the heart of Jesus.

Our mother’s love of music included “Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “Music Box Dancer” by Frank Mills, two of her favorites.

The family received friends on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home. A Funeral Service followed in the funeral home chapel with interment in Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park
