John M. Caputo
John M. Caputo, of Waxhaw, NC, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025. He was born in Bronx NY, on August 24, 1949.
He was an amazing husband to his wife Pat for over 50 years before she passed three years ago on 10/13/22; the greatest dad to Toni Caputo, Terri McCleary and father-in-law to Mike McCleary; and the most wonderful grandpa to Matt, Nicky, Molly; someone who was always there for whatever or whenever was needed.
He enjoyed cooking, fixing things, listening to his music playlist, and having fun with his family.
He was an absolutely great man who always had funny stories to tell and could always make you laugh. He was also someone you could count on. Most importantly, he loved his family. Glad he can now be with his beloved wife, Pat… another wonderful person gone too soon.
I have know John since we were very young. What a great person. He loved Pat and his family. I am sorry he is gone but now he is back with the love of his life. Our love and condolences to the whole family❤️❤️❤️ Love Aunt Cheryl and Leslie
John was a wonderful brother-in-law and a wonderful husband to my sister Pat. He loved his family more than anything. Together, they raised beautiful children and beautiful grandchildren. If you needed anything, John was there he could do just about anything if he didn’t know how to do it he’d figure it out. I will miss him and our talks together. And yes, he could make anybody laugh. But I am so glad that he is now with Pat smiling down on his family..
I only knew John and Pat through stories from those blessed by their love but I’m sure each were very special people because they raised an amazing family. Their legacy will live on in the people they touched and inspired. May they both rest in peace and love of those missing them.

John was always a loving, and caring person. Was totally selfless when it came to Pat, and his family.
Always kind and pleasant, and willing to help others. They are together now, with no more worries, or strife.
Know you should be consoled that you were a dutiful, and loving daughter who he was so proud of.

Mr. Caputo was a great man who would bring joy to every room he was in. He told the best stories and had the kindest heart for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by anyone that knew him.
