Jerry Wayne Lee, Sr.

After a courageous battle with cancer, Jerry Lee, 73, of Simpsonville, husband of Janice Lee, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 while at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Clarence William & Bernice Lee.

In addition to his wife, Janice, Mr. Lee is survived by a grandson of the home, Jacob Schaus; one sister, Geraldine Blessing; step-children, Karen (Chris) Hall, Andrea Schaus, Dianne (Sean) Zukowsky, Kathy (Mike) McCombs, Gail Leslie, Steve (Michelle) Leslie, Chris Leslie; special family member, Frances Lee; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Lee; and one sister, Dianne Lee.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Cannon Funeral Home, Fountain Inn.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Cannon Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Cannon Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: The Greenville County Cancer Society.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the entire staff of St. Francis Cancer Center, St. Francis Hospital, the Gibbs Cancer Center and Interim Healthcare.

    Jan and Jacob, we cant even express how sorry we are about Jerry! It will be difficult, but just remember all the great times you and all of us had with him. He was such a great neighbor! Always willing to help out anyone who needed it! He will be greatly missed!

    Jerry was our special friend. He was always willing to call us, help us, and tease us. We just loved his personality. A great man and friend. He will be missed, but I’m glad he no longer suffers.

    Jan, you are in my heartfelt prayers. I had the great privilege of becoming friends with you and Jerry through this long journey. What an absolute joy it was to know Jerry Lee ! I feel that he was much loved by all who knew him. I smile everytime I think of him and his wonderful sense of humor. Much love and heartfelt sympathy.
