Jeffrey James Jaeggi

Jeff Jaeggi, 67, of Simpsonville, husband of Stacey Ziemke Jaeggi, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 2, 2026.

Born in Patterson, NJ, he was the son of Marion Bull Jaeggi and the late Raymond James Jaeggi. In addition to his wife, Mr. Jaeggi is survived by their children, Greg Jaeggi, and Rae Broome and her husband, Taylor; and four grandchildren, Harrison Jaeggi, AJ, Whit, and Miller Broome.

Jeff grew up in Ridgewood, NJ where his passion for drumming, golf, basketball and cars began. He graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1976 and traveled south to attend The University of South Carolina.

USC is where Jeff met the love of his life, Stacey in typing class and ironically asked her for a sheet of paper. They enjoyed their time in Columbia cruising in his Torino and cheering on the Gamecocks. He graduated with a degree in Journalism in 1983.

Soon after graduation, he and Stacey married and relocated to the Upstate where he started his career in Pharmaceutical Sales. They welcomed their son Greg in 1988 and their daughter, Rae in 1992. Jeff was a family man who was there for every game, match, recital, concert, and everything in between. He was a devoted father, husband and coach. His positive presence radiated and he lit up every room he stepped into. When he wasn’t supporting his family, he could be found on the nearest golf course. In his lifetime he earned: 7 hole-in-ones, Club Champion at Ridgewood Country Club in 1980, two time Member & Son at Ridgewood CC, Member/Member at Holly Tree Country Club in 2016 and 4 time Senior Club Champion at HTCC.

After 40 years of service in the Pharmaceutical industry with countless awards and accolades, Jeff retired in 2024. Jeff spent his retirement playing the drums in the praise band at The Methodist Church of Simpsonville, volunteering for The First Tee of the Upstate and serving as the girls Head Golf Coach at Mauldin High School. His favorite role was “Pop” to his 4 precious grandchildren that he adored more than life itself.

Jeff will be remembered for his infectious laugh, booming voice and larger-than-life personality. He impacted so many of us and will continue to live on in our memories.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made via check to The Methodist Church of Simpsonville- Praise Band, the Mauldin High School Girl’s Golf program or The First Tee of the Upstate:

I’ve known Jeff since childhood. We learned how to play golf together at our parents golf club. We built sand castles together at Jones Beach State Park in NY. Our moms were best friends for life. This is very sad news. My heart and thoughts and prayers are with Jeff’s family.

I am just heart broken for the family. It’s those that are left behind that my heart aches for. I remember vividly being in your wedding and I would often see Jeff at Heavenly Hsm picking up food to take to Papas office. Always smiling and always acted like I was just the person he wanted to see. Norman and him just bantered back and forth last year at cup. I am sending my love and many prayers!! You are all definitely on my mind!!!

Jeff was always such a NICE person. He was always so kind and always made me laugh. I’ve worked in Pharmaceuticals for 35 years and every time I would see Jeff in a parking lot we would always joke I would always ask him did you get taller and he said no you just got shorter it’s one of my favorite things he always made me laugh what a great guy sure will miss him. 🙁

  • We met Jeff through his wife Stacey & I ended up with the honor of being the DJ for their daughter Rea’s wedding. It was one of the most enjoyable weddings I’ve been a part of.

Fast forward to last year when he became the Lady Mavs Golf Head Coach. I knew they got one of the best! For years when I’d go to HTCC for events, I’d see his name for most recent hole in one or tournament championship.

The world needs more humans like Jeff!

Sending our love to the Jaeggi family!

Jeff was a very good childhood friend of my brother Chris Campbell who passed away in August of 2023. I remember Jeff well and know that Chris and Jeff, along with Wally Roscoe and Bill Boyce had a lot of fun together as kids. My God rest his soul.
