Jean Kellett Haynsworth

Jean Kellett Haynsworth, 95, of Fountain Inn, widow of James P. Kellett III and her second husband, Harry J. Haynsworth III, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.

Born in Lake City, SC, she was the daughter of the late Baron S. and Edna Redmond Ward. She was a long-time member of Trinity United Methodist Church Fountain Inn. Loved and known by her family and friends as “G’ommy”, she thoroughly enjoyed watching and cheering on her grandchildren, as their “greatest fan”, participate in many sports and activities over the years. Mrs. Kellett-Haynsworth earned her BA from Columbia College and a Masters of Art from the University of South Carolina. She was a beloved art teacher in the Greenville County School System for many years.

Mrs. Haynsworth is survived by her children, Pink Kellett and his wife, Mary Wynne, of Murrells Inlet; Ward Kellett and his wife, Starr, of Fountain Inn, and Francelle Kellett of Taylors; her grandchildren, Wynne Peace (Perry), Jay Kellett, Anna King (Matthew), Gigi Kellett-Sawyer (Noah), David Kellett (Lori), and Ian Hilley (Sarah); and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, John Ward.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 2:00 pm in Cannon – Byrd Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Murray Snow of Trinity UMC. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Trinity United Methodist Church, 403 S. Weston St, Fountain Inn, SC 29644.

The family will be at the home of Ward & Starr Kellett.

    Ward, Pink and Francelle,
    Your mom was a special person in my life. She was always kind to me and had a beautiful smile. I am blessed that our lives crossed paths.
    As she has simply changed her address to heaven, we’ll see her again.

    Ward and Francelle and Pink,

    Y’all have been blessed. What a special lady Mrs Kellett was….kind, gifted, smart, welcoming…always thought the world of her. She meant so much to so many people in her community and beyond.

    These days are tough I know but they are easier when you know their destination. May our good Lord continue to bless yall.
