James “Jim” Cox

James “Jim” Cox, 85, husband of Charlotte Cox, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Friday, January 10, 2020. Born in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of the late James Tipton Cox and the late Opal Wolford Cox. Jim was a retired electrical engineer with Cincinnati Milacron.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by two daughters, Shelley Ferguson (Robert) and Shauna Cox (Terry), both of Simpsonville; two granddaughters, Charlee Cason (Lanier) and Shaina Wilburn (James); two great grandchildren, James Wilburn, Jr. and Keegan Cason; and many grand-dogs.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020 in the chapel at Cannon Funeral Home beginning at 4:00 pm. The family will visit with friends following the service.

    I am so sorry to hear of Jim’s (“Mr. Cox” to those of us on his soccer team) passing. He will be missed.
