Hubert Nally Davis Jr.

Hubert Nally Davis, Jr., 77, of Aiken, widower of Janice Clifton Davis, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.

Born in Conestee, SC, he was a son of the late Hubert Nally Davis, Sr. and the late Annie Lois Banks Davis Thackston. Mr. Davis proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by his four daughters, Bonnie Overbey (Robert) of FL, Lois Baughman (Melvin) of Aiken, Renee Burns (James) of Aiken, and Angel Hall (Marc) of North Augusta; grandchildren, Randall Hardin, Ransom Baughman (Bethany), Janice Baughman, Derrick Burns (Mary), Nathan Burns, Hailea Ambrose, and Emilie Hayes (Cody); and great-grandchildren, Colson Baughman, Aaliyah Baughman, and Hailea Burns.

He was preceeded in death by his brothers, Charles Davis, George Davis, Bill Davis, and Boyce Thackston; and one sister, Evelyn Thackston Gilstrap.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 1:00 PM in Cannon Memorial Park with military honors.

    I am so sorry to hear about Hubert Davis death. I was a resident of the complex where he lived and met him through on of his friends there who was interested in sewing too. I pray for healing for your family and may you find comfort in knowing there is one more “angel” above.

    Let me offer our sincere sympathies to you and your family for the loss of your beloved father . He certainly was the epicenter of all your lives , as a father , grandfather and great grandfather and this loss is immeasurable , I know you will look at all the wonderful memories you all have and there will be comfort in sharing those with each other .💔

    He looks so handsome and kind! No song sung, words said nor eulogy read will be able to adequately convey what kind of man, husband, Daddy, or friend he was.
