Condolences to the family of Harvey Jacob Ball

  • I really don’t understand why I just know he’s in Jesus loving arms now walking streets of gold with a smile on no pain in his face. Harvey was a godsend to his family and well respected. My daughter Deborah thought of him as a father figure and loved him. I’m so sorry for your loss Martha. Seems the good die young. If you ever need a friend or someone who’s walked in your shoes please call. Love Alice Mahon

    Dear Martha and Family,
Words can’t begin to express the sadness and sorrow felt by Harvey’s passing. There is no preparation for this difficult loss and the pain is immeasurable. It’s been said that when we lose a loved one on earth, we gain an angel in Heaven who will watch over us. I pray the Lord will bring you the peace and comfort that you need to get through this and the courage to face the days ahead. I know the loving memories you have will be cherished forever.
    Thinking of you with love,
    Susie Wells

Hi, my name is Jerry Snezik. I graduated with Harvey from Bridgeport in 1968. We were very good friends in school. Though we grew apart through the years,we often stayed in touch. I always considered him as a very good friend of mine. I am so very sorry for your loss. He was a great buddy, and lots of good times we had.

  • Harv,

It has come time for me to say my final good-bye. The life we had as brothers is one I will cherish until we meet again. People are remiss at a time like this to have said “I love you”, but we both achieved that goal the last time we spoke on Dec. 26, 2020. The one thing I regret during that phone conversation is I didn’t ask you to pray with me, but my prayers have been and will always be with you.

I know of one occasion in your military career you were fortunate to have experienced the words memorialized in this poem and now with your passing it feels right to share these words with your loved ones.

    ‘High Flight’
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds – and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of – wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the windswept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or even eagle flew – And, while with silent lifting mind I’ve trod The high unsurpassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand and touched the face of God.
    Pilot Officer John Gillespie Magee

I pray that Martha, Larry, Alan and all your family and friends will be wrapped in God’s Loving Care as they move forward through this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear this news. Harvey was a good, hard working man, but most of all he was a good friend. Don’t think he ever met a stranger. Always a pleasure to be around and a great person to just sit down and talk with. I’m sure all his GE family will miss him, I know I do. Prayers for strength and encouragement for all the family.

Although we saw each other much more in our childhood days we still kept in touch in later years. Harvey was one of the most fun loving people I have ever known. He always had a story to tell that left me laughing for hours . I always thoroughly enjoyed hearing his southern accent ( I’m from the north) and he loved to rub it in when we were getting buried in snow and cold and he would be sitting in his back yard with an ice cold sweet tea‼️ At least that’s what he would tell me; however, we all know he never took the time to just sit in his back yard. RIP cousin Harv, you will be greatly missed by all❤️ Keep your precious memories close at heart Martha and family for they will be great comfort in the days snd weeks to come.

With heartfelt words I write this..My Love to Martha, Larry and Alan, prayers go deeper than you can imagine for
each and everyone of you..Harv was the “Best Little, Big Brother” a little sister could ever have. I will miss him so
much! Prayers to all the family and his friends. I loved him so much. He was always there for me, if it was phone call
or a visit. We had the best times in the Great Smokey Mountains this July, camping and the cookouts. Not to mention
the many travels to find the bears..I loved his stories too. There are so many memories, take care to all who knew him
and loved him..Prayers are with him as he lives his next life in Heaven with Jesus..

  • Harvey and I went to high school together in Bridgeport, Ohio. He was a great storyteller and fun to be around. My prayers go out to Martha, Larry and Alan.
