    To Gwen’s family,
My sincere sympathy to all of you. I feel as though I should extend condolences to the entire town because Fountain Inn has lost a real treasure.
As a volunteer at the Fountain Inn Museum, I called on Gwen for information about the town and the people and for loans from her photo album and her wonderful vintage clothing collection, all of which she shared generously. It was always a delight to visit with her, to experience her feisty views and sharp wit.
For the past few years almost all our exhibits have included something from Gwen. We will miss her.

To” Miss ” Gwen’s Family. My heartfelt sadness to each of you. Had known John Allen and Gwen for a long time. I never knew your grandfather, but heard many things about him through Mr. Peden McDowell. I worked for several years, in the Fountain Inn Drug Store when Charles Alberson bought it. Mr. McDowell had lots of memories of Dr. Walton. I am so sorry about “Miss” Gwen. May GOD hold you steadfast and give you comfort.. A friend of John Allen and “Miss Gwen..
