Glenn A. McConaghy

Glenn McConaghy, 80, of Fountain Inn, husband of Elizabeth “Betty” Williams McConaghy passed to his Heavenly Home on Friday, November 27, 2020 while at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the late George Alexander and Helen Braman McConaghy. Mr. McConaghy worshipped at Presbyterian Fellowship of Fountain Inn and enjoyed many Bible study groups. He worked as a Quality Control Engineer for GE and Seaman Westinghouse. He enjoyed transforming old cars into beautiful hot rods. His shop was his place of joy.

In addition to his wife, Mr. McConaghy is survived by their two sons, Aaron and his wife, Amy, and Marcus McConaghy, all of Fountain Inn; and his grandchildren, Danielle, Trent (Jenna), Sean, Marcus, Price, and Wynn.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Fahey.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 1:00 PM in Graceland East Memorial Park with Thomas Aitken and Pastor David Hardy officiating.

    We had already missed you both since Wynn has moved on to 6th grade, but we are so sad to hear about the passing of your husband. He was a sweet man. Our hearts go out to you!

    Betty I am so sorry for your loss love to you & your family. Bill died July 23 from Covid related issues.

    Betty, I just today read about your husband’s death. I am so sorry for your loss. You may not remember me, but you hired me at Bryson Elementary. I worked as a volunteer with you but they moved you to Plains Elementary before I actually got to work for you. I do remember what a great principal you were and I also remember your husband. Wish I had known sooner about Glenn’s death.
