Geraldine “Gerri” Calhoun

Geraldine “Gerri” Calhoun, 83, passed away peacefully at McCall Hospice House on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. She was retired from Kemet and a member of Temple Baptist Church. To her family, she was the known as the best “Nanny”.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Ron) Tucker; her grandchildren, Jason Curd, Joye Curd (Brad) Van Name, Paul Tucker, and Jason (Tara) Tucker; great grandchildren, Corey Rains, Jordan Masonoff, Baylee Masonoff, Jack Morehouse, Karsyn Curd, Camden Curd, Stella Tucker, and Maisey Tucker; and three sisters, Florence Swanger, Brenda Cunningham, and Linda (Freddie) Hunter.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to caregiver Paula Sweeny.

The family will receive friends at Heritage Funeral Home in Simpsonville on Friday, December 1, 2017 beginning at 11:30 am followed by the funeral service in the chapel at 12:30 pm. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greenville Meals on Wheels.

    I am sorry to hear about Gerri’s passing. We used to be neighbors on Rutherford Street many years ago. She was always such a sweet lady. I often wondered where the family was after so many years. We will keep your family in our prayers.
