I loved Aunt Eunice. I loved it when she and my mother, Pauline, were together, because they would burst into song at the drop of a hat! They sang such classics as, I Heard The Wreck on the Highway, But I Didn’t Hear Nobody Pray, Detour, Telephone to Glory and Cabbage Head. Aunt Eunice had a wonderful sense of humor and loved and enjoyed her family fiercely. I loved hearing her and Uncle Ed banter back and forth. It was so obvious how much they loved one another.

I’m deeply sadden by the loss of Aunt Eunice. Family is the most important thing in the world and her loss is one of the world’s biggest losses. To Rusty, Donald, Janice and Bruce, I can only imagine what you are going through. Please reach out to me if I can help in any way. My love and prayers are with you. God bless.

Ed and Eunice were my patients years ago. I enjoyed caring for both of them. She had a great sense of humor and a sharp wit. She was generous and understanding. I considered both of them my friends. Besides, she made the best coconut cake I’ve ever had!

I’m a lucky girl to have Eunice Christine as my Grams. I’ll miss her feisty personality, quick wit and that beautifully melodic Southern accent. Speaking of melodies, Grams had a song lyric to sing for nearly every situation. I love that I inherited that trait! Even on her last day here enjoying a hot dog at lunch in her apartment, she was always so put together and well-dressed. Coordinated outfits. Matching jewelry. “Let me put a little lipstick on, I might see Tom Selleck.” I have fond memories of Grams in her apron baking sweets. She could make a perfect pie crust! There was always a homemade dessert at her house. She and Pops had to have dessert right after dinner. No exceptions! We lived down the street and were often at Grams’ house. I’m grateful for that precious time with her and her influence. 😊❤️ #gramsagram
