Ernest Duncan Cooper, Jr.

E. Duncan Cooper, 84, of Simpsonville, husband of Hilda Burgess Cooper for 58 years, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, January 21, 2019.

Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Ernest Duncan Cooper and the late Frances Roberts Cooper. Mr. Cooper was a long-time member of White Oak Baptist Church in Greenville and attended Brookwood Church. He served our country in the U.S. Army and retired from Bellsouth.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by their two children, Mark Cooper of Simpsonville, and Carolyn Mungo and her husband, Darren, of Greer; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Mungo.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, Simpsonville.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 3:00 PM in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Family and friends are invited to the home following the service on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W Faris Rd, Greenville, SC 29605, or to Wren Hospice, 955 W Wade Hampton Blvd Suite 3A, Greer, SC 29650.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of The Crossings at Five Forks Retirement Community and Wren Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.
