Edwin David King
Edwin David King, 75, of Simpsonville, loving husband to Jane King, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
Born in Simpsonville, SC, he was a son of the late Joyce and Sylvia King.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Haven King; grandson, Palmer King; sister-in-law, Diane King; and a daughter-in-law, Sally King.
He was preceded in death by his son, Lance King; brother, Rodger King; Uncles, Lynn King and Bud King and Aunts, Betty Hughes, Mary Ellen Henry and Miriam Davis.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Cannon Byrd Funeral Home – Simpsonville, 313 North Main Street, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to a Kidney Foundation of one’s choice.

To Jane and the King family, My heart goes out to each of you. I know the awful hurt that you are feeling. It is so hard to give up our loved ones. As we all know too well. The most wonderful thing in this great loss is that David is now joined once again with Lance, and in a brand new body .that is free of pain. David was a friend and was loved by many. I have known the family for many years.. David was always ready to assist any one that needed him.
