Condolences to the family of David Kendrick Dicken

  • To the Dicken Family,

Please accept my deepest and very sincere condolences on the passing of David.
I knew Dave for 37 years, I lived with him for a number of years and worked along side of him for a awhile, during that time I learned a lot of life lessons from Dave. He was always honest and always offered good advice, I was always proud to call him my best friend and even considered Dave to be my brother. I learned many things from him that I still apply to my life to this very day
I have lost many close friends and family members over the last 2 years and I can honestly say without a doubt that I will miss him the most. May God bless him.

    To the Dicken family,

I was sorry to hear that you had lost your brother/father/friend. From reading the obituary comments, he was well loved and respected. Although we never grew up together, I still have one vivid memory of David while visiting “Uncle Woodie” at Camp LeJune, NC when he was stationed there while in the Marines. Uncle Woodie had taken us to the beach (Onslow Beach, I recall, which was my first time seeing the ocean) and David was probably only about a year old – barely old enough to walk. The memory I have is of him wearing his little swim diaper that read “The Boss” on the back end – lol! I’m sure to some extent, he lived up to that title. Our prayers are with the family and hope that your happy memories will always outnumber the sad ones! With love and sympathy, Cynthia Dicken Hollomon

I only met David recently through Val. A kind man. Prayers for the family.

  • My condolences to the family and especially to my sister Julia who shared Dave’s life for over twenty years until his passing. May God provide her comfort, peace, support and love. Peace and love to his children may the God of all comfort wipe every tear from your eyes.
    Sincerely,

I was so sorry for your loss and I pray that God will ease your suffering though this time. I can remember David as a little boy in his red shorts playing in the yard with Uncle Woodie and Aunt Dorothy when they were in Maryland,Clinton I believe. I’m sure he is in there arms now.
