David Alan Imig

David Alan Imig, 84, of Duncan, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. David was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on March 13, 1937, and is the son of the late Kurt and Virginia (Jones) Imig. David graduated from Central High School in 1955, and was later employed by Hayssen Manufacturing (now BW Flexible Systems) for 46 years where he began his career in Sheboygan, and later moved with the company as they relocated their operations to Duncan, South Carolina.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sarah (Ditmore) Imig, his three children – Gary (Christina) Imig, Wendy (James) Spangenberg, Lori (Paul) Jochimsen, their mother – Jean (Anderson) Imig, his eight grandchildren: Paul and Drew Imig; Derek and Kelly Chapman; Cole, Duncan, Evan and Hope Jochimsen; and six great grandchildren.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing and traveling during his free time.  His kind and free spirit will be dearly missed.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in David’s name to the American Heart Association and the Humane Society.

    My thoughts and prayers go to the Imig family. I hope you find peace in this difficult time. Sarah had shared many stories that portrayed Dave that always looked the the brighter side life. May that be a lesson for us all to remember and live as Dave did. Thanks for that gift Dave and you will be missed.

    My prayers are for God’s comfort for the Imig family. I worked with Dave a while back and I have great respect for him. He was always easy going and helpful. I know he will be greatly missed by all. May the grace of God comfort you in this distressing time.
