  • Like you, Chad, my heart is broken. Chris had the biggest heart and sweetest spirit of anyone I’ve ever known, despite all her serious health issues. Always concerned about everyone else. The sweetest warrior has earned her well deserved rest, but she is and will be missed. May God fill the empty space she leaves behind. You were her world.

  • A sweet and gentle lady. I loved her! She never complained but always focused on others. Absolutely beautiful inside and out! She will be missed but must be having a grand reunion already with those gone on.

So very sorry to have received this sad news. We were neighbors with the Ballew family for years, and, along with other youngsters in the neighborhood, Chris and I played together in our younger days. Living so close to each other, our Mothers were co-hostesses each April for their church Circle Meeting. Chris and I were “allowed” to “pass out napkins” to the ladies in attendance for their refreshments. A special honor and treat for two young girls! It was in a time when we simply opened the door of our neighbor’s home and walked right in. And walking into the Ballew home was always so welcoming and caring. Chris lived that loving and caring life into her adulthood and continued the same loving caring, sweet spirit for all her days. As we journeyed on through high school, we both shared a love for our baton and had fun being majorettes together with the Hillcrest Band. She loved her parents and her brothers….and her friends….and it showed in ever way possible. She will be missed, but will be so fondly remembered by those who had the privilege to call her “friend”. My prayers for all the loving family.

    Chad,
Out heartfelt thoughts go out to you and your family. Chris had the same sweet, caring personality that her mom had! She was loved by many! I enjoyed the joy she got from that special granddaughter. You could feel the love they shared when she spoke of her. Chad, there was no question about how she felt about you. There is something very special about a mother and son! She loved her entire family, but now she is with the love of her life! Can’t you just see her smile? Please know you have a lot of folks who love and care. Our prayers are with you!
