So sorry for your loss.  During this difficult time, find comfort in God’s thrilling promise found at Revelation 21: 3, 4 to soon wipe out every tear from our eyes, for death to be no more , and no more pain these things will be done away.  Knowing this promise I hope wiil give you the strength to endure.

Dear Gianakas Family: My deepest sympathy for the family and friends of Anna. We will never get used to losing our loved ones in death because as Ecclesiastes 3:11 says. “We were created with everlasting life in view.” But may you find comfort in knowing that Almighty God has promised that soon he will swallow up death forever along with the pain that it brings. (Isaiah 25:8) God has also promised that he will return Anna to you as it says at John 5:28,29. You can also learn more about what happens when a loved one dies at JW.org.
    Sincerely,
    Susan

My sincere condolences to the family of Ann. We lived on the same street in Bellaire, Ohio, in the 1950s and waited together at the bus stop to go to our respective places of employment in Wheeling, WV. I was able to attend her wedding and witness her vows to her husband Michael. We corresponded for awhile when they lived in New Jersey, but lost contact with her for many years. When one of her brothers passed away a few years ago in Bellaire, I saw the obituary in the newspaper. Although Ann was not able to attend his funeral, I was able to get her address in Simpsonville, SC, and we began corresponding, exchanging Christmas cards and writing letters. Having not heard from her for awhile, recently I called the phone number I had and left messages. I then began a search on the Internet and sadly found her obituary. I have a picture of her sitting on a park bench with her 8-month-old son Nickie, which I will keep as a reminder of our friendship.
