Andrew was one of my best friends. I met him in May of 2017 at Calvary. We swam together that summer and for the next four years. He was the kindest, most mature, respectful young man and I truly looked up to him. I saw his work ethic at a young age and wanted to be like him. I think back on all the times we spent together and I thank god for blessing me with his presence. He was taken from us far too soon but I do not doubt that he had a purpose on this Earth. Not only did he always spread joy and happiness but he taught us a lesson- cherish every moment you have with your loved ones because you never know when that last moment may be. I will strive to live life like he did- with a smile and a helping hand. My prayers are going out to the Seagrist family and everyone that was touched by his life.

  • I didn’t know Andrew very well but he was in some of my classes and I used to talk to him all the time he was a very nice kid and always had something funny to say and he was always a positive person. This was a tragic way to lose him and Andrew and his family will be In our prayers.

What a devastating loss this is for his family, friends and his family here at Brashier. Although I never taught Andrew in class, I do know and have taught several of the students who offered their condolences above. From their character I know that they choose friends that are amazing, genuinely positive role models and Andrew was one of those type of friends. I was encouraged that he was a member of the Good News Club. He will be greatly missed. But because of the hope that we have Jesus, we will indeed see him again.

Sincerely with prayers of comfort for his friends and family,
    Mr. Dan

    Dear Seagrist family,
Our family is praying for you…that you will know God’s goodness and grace as beauty through these very dark and painful ashes. Jonathan, Jason, and I knew Andrew through school and liked and respected him for the man that he was. We had just spoken good things about him Tuesday after he served as my cashier at Publix. What a beautiful difference he made while he had the chance! Let’s all continue it…

I met Andrew in freshman year. I didnt know him that well, although my brother swam with him, but every time I would walk past him in the hall, he would have a big smile on his face, which would put one on my face too. Everytime we talked, it seemed like we were best friends, he would always ask how I was doing. I wish I could have gotten to know him better. But the time that I did know him he was a great friend. You’ll be missed by many Andrew. For the Seagrist family, I, among many others, will be praying that God will ease the pain of losing him.

I worked with Andrew during my time working at Publix. He was always sweet and had a positive attitude. He always wanted to get better at his job and get to know his coworkers and customers. He had so many customers that knew him by name and specifically wanted Andrew to help them. We both gave advice to each other and wished for the best for each other when I left Publix last year. He had a bright future ahead of him and his life was just getting started. I’m heartbroken to hear he has passed away. My deepest condolences go to his family during this tragic time.

Andrew was one of the very first people I met when I started working at Publix. He was always so sweet and positive. I don’t think I ever saw him without a smile. To say he was a pleasure to work with would be an understatement, I always looked forward to working with him. He never failed to always help me get my groceries to the car after a long day, and we never worked together that he wouldn’t ask me how my daughter was doing or try to get a smile out of her when he would see her. My thoughts and prayers are with you, I am deeply sorry for your loss.

I’m not even sure how to feel or what to say to lighten the emotional load that has fallen upon everyone who knew Andrew. I met him my freshman year, and he sat with me at lunch the same day I met him and never moved from my table that year. I could count on him for anything because he knew everyone. He had this magnificent way of being able to connect with everyone he met and remembered the tiny, insignificant details about them so that they felt special. I’m gonna miss you buddy. Rest in peace and know that there will always be a chair for you at my table, Andrew. 💜

My memories of Andrew go back to when he was five years old. During one summer in college I had the privilege of watching the Seagrist children. I have many wonderful memories from that time but I will never forget the joy and love that radiated from this family. Andrew was the one that kept everyone laughing and on their toes at the same time of making sure everyone felt loved. He had the sweetest eyes that could melt anyone’s heart! I pray that God wraps his arms tightly around all of you. I cannot imagine the pain and heartbreak you are going through. May you feel God’s presence and peace in the coming weeks and months when the hurt will be the strongest. Love to you all!

I remember when me and Andrew starting working at Publix together, we both started at 14 years old. Over the years, I had the privilege to watch Andrew grow into the young man he was becoming at Publix. He was like a little brother everyone wanted, Andrew uplifted those around him and always kept smiles on the faces of those around him. My favorite memory of him was when we would go get ice cream after work with all of our other friends. He will be missed so much, my deepest condolences go out to your family.
