Allen Robert Seller

Allen Robert Seller, 73, of Simpsonville, husband of Carole Seller for 22 years, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Easter morning, April 12, 2020.  Born in Queens, NY, Al was the son of the late Alex and Grace Morrell Seller.  He served as a firefighter for the city of New York in the FDNY for 30 years before moving to South Carolina.

Al was a born again Christian and attended Grace Point Church in Simpsonville.  He also served as a member at large on the board of directors in his community.

In addition to his wife, Al is survived by his children, Trish Calvarese and husband, Russ, June Russell and husband, Tom, Daniel Seller and wife, Brenda, and Joseph Groom and wife, Heather; eight grandchildren, Tina , Andrew, Jennifer, Julia, Ryan, Loren, Lily, and Thomas; grandson-in-law, Mark Cimino, Tina’s husband ; and his sister Sherry Nickel and her husband, Kenny.

Due to COVID 19, a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

    Al was one of the 1st men I met when I moved here from the Midwest in early 2017 in a common forum @ Augusta Rd Baptist Church. That same welcoming, warm person described by the many family & friends was such an experience that I’ll always cherish and remember ! A fine gentlemen who went out of his way to provide calm & availability to a new guy moving into a new environment ! Rest in peace Al – you are one of a kind and another warrior joins the fight in Jesus’s name ! Condolences to those left behind…let’s celebrate his life come Sunday the 26th !
