Albert Linwood Harmon

Albert L. Harmon, 81, of Simpsonville, husband of Rose Mary Harmon for 59 years, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, October 24, 2022 while surrounded by his family.

Born in Columbia, SC, Mr. Harmon was a son of the late Johnnie Pressley & Evelyn Alewine Harmon.

In addition to his wife, Rose Mary, he is survived by their daughters, Robin Wills (Mark), and Rhonda White (James); five grandchildren, John Mark Wills (Stacey), Erika Wills Jordan (Robert), Samuel Linwood Wills, Pierce White, and Halle White; six great-grandchildren, Alannah Jordan, Jaelyn Jordan, Addyson Wills, Griffin Wills, Logan Wills, and Eden Wills; one brother, Goldie Lee Harmon (Delores); and one sister, Edith Jannelle Peddings (Johnny).

Mr. Harmon was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnnie Pressley Harmon Jr., Travis Harmon, and Emerson Harmon.

Albert’s life is best described by the word servant. His kindness, gentleness, love, and compassion towards others was a direct correlation of his faith in Jesus and the call to be His hands and feet to those God placed in his life.  He was fun-loving and encouraged others with humor and laughter. He was hard working, full of integrity, a problem solver, a fixer of all things, and dedicated to his family – always providing for, always being present to support their interests, and always helping them in their needs. Romans 12:5-7 teaches “if your gift is serving, then serve.” Albert knew God’s grace given to him and he understood his role in the body of Christ was to serve. And he served!

A time for friends to gather, reminisce and celebrate Mr. Harmon will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 12:30 – 2:30 pm at Cannon – Byrd Funeral Home Fountain Inn.

Interment will be private for the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in memory of Mr. Harmon to: Parkinson’s Foundation, via 800-473-4636 or www.parkinson.org

May God grant you comfort during this hard time. Albert was such a good person and he loved his family and he loved the Lord. May God give the family the straight and peace of mind knowing that we who believe in God as our savor will see Albert again! I remember Albert as a neighbor on Batesville Road, I can’t ever remember a time when he lost his temper with any of us kids, he was always so understanding. I remember having great respect for him. He will be missed by so many people that had the extraordinary pleasure to know him. Rest In Peace Mr. Harmon!
