Terry Vaughn Thomas Freeland
Terry Vaughn Thomas Freeland, age 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4th, at the Clinton Presbyterian Community Home in Clinton, South Carolina. She was welcomed at the gates of Heaven by her beloved husband, Robert Freeland.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and servant of God, Terry lived a life full of love, purpose, and unwavering faith. She is survived by her children: daughter Carolyn Gunderson (Patrick Gunderson), and sons David Freeland and Thom Freeland (Susan Freeland). She was a cherished grandmother to Jessie Freeland, Cason Freeland, Zachary Freeland, Tucker Freeland, Christopher Freeland, KerriAnn Freeland, Andrew Gunderson, Alexandra Gunderson, Justin Gunderson, Nicole Croft and Michael Croft. She was a great grandmother to Mae, John Lyle, Sullivan and Laila.
Terry had a special love for her garden, where she spent many joyful hours alongside Robert. Her green thumb and nurturing spirit brought beauty to all who visited. But her greatest joy came from serving others. A passionate missionary, Terry dedicated countless years to organizing mission trips to Brazil, where she helped build churches and ministered to children and adults in communities across the region.
Her love for Jesus radiated in everything she did. Whether at home, in her community, or abroad, Terry was committed to sharing her faith and lifting others with compassion and grace.
A celebration of Terry’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to a missionary organization or church ministry of your choice, in honor of Terry’s lifelong mission to spread the Gospel.
Her legacy of faith, love, and service lives on through her family and the countless lives she touched.
