Ruth Penelope Greene

Penny Greene, 75, of Greenville, widow of Virgil M. Greene, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 25, 2017 while surrounded by her family.

Born in Polk County, NC she was a daughter of the late Thomas Elmer Goode and the late Johnnie Lee Hayes Goode. Mrs. Greene was a member of Hepzibah Church of God.

She is survived by her daughter, Danna McAbee, and her husband, David, of Fountain Inn; a son, Scott Moore, and his wife Karin, of Aiken; grandchildren, Arianna McAbee, Brookes McAbee, Scotti Leigh Moore and Brandon Moore; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Reynolds, Rose Conner, Brenda Lewis, Sarah McCall, and Judy Patrick.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Geraldine Goode, Jackie Coker, Janet Holliday, and Meg Cheek.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends starting at 5:00 PM prior to the service.
