  • My dear Sunday school teacher, friend and Brother in Christ. Bob, taught me the word of God and always showed me the love of God.

Charlotte and Bob where the first Christian family that welcomed me to their home when I was saved at the age of 17 during a revival at the Cathedral.

For over 30 years I observed his devotion, commitment and passion for God which he shared with the world and me.

I will forever be grateful for having him in my life and the time God gave me with him four weeks ago… I shared John 11 with him and we had church together.

The world has lost a giant this side of heaven but heaven has received a faithful servant that impacted so many lives for the kingdom of God.

About two years ago, Bob preached my Brother Carlos funeral. Thank God for allowing this great servant of Yours to come into my life. I am a life that was changed through his ministry and great love.

About a year ago Bob gifted me the same Bible he used and I will cherish it and never forget him.

Charlotte and family, God is a defender of the widow and the orphan and I am here for you! Psalm 68:5

God loves you and so do I.

Bob was a treasured leader and provided impeccable council for our Men’s weekly worship group.

We are all grateful for sharing his love of our Lord and Saviour in a format that opened our hearts and minds to the depth of His love for our Eternal journey in His Holy presence !

A Great loss for our church.
We know Bob was ready any day to go to Heaven. He probably has already put together a Bible study even in Heaven.
Charlotte and family , the history of all that has been enriched at The Cathedral Community Church through Bob will have a long lasting
History. We are Thankful Charlotte will continue the legacy of the Crout family. Bless you all, Dann and Roxanne

  • Bob and I met in the “quiet room” at the Nashville airport many years ago.. I had suffered a tragedy in my family and, therefore, preferred the quiet room to the noise of the airport. Other than greeting each other as we met each week, no other words were spoken.
After several months, when Bob was leaving one day, he turned to me and told me that he belonged to a Bible Study group that met each week. He then said that he thought that the meetings would be good for me. I looked at Bob and could tell that Bob knew that my heart was suffering.
Bob became My Forever Friend. We never talked abut the tragedy in my family, but through Bob’s teachings, I found peace and understanding.
My prayers go out to Charlotte and to all Bob’s loved ones. The Earth is definitely a better place because Bob Crout walked upon it.
    Jim
