Michael Cooper Pinckney
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael C. Pinckney, 52, of Fountain Inn, on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Michael left us far too soon but left behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and love.
Born in Hahn, Germany, he was the son of William Eustace Bellenger Pinckney III & Susan Cooper Pinckney. Michael was a member of First Baptist Simpsonville / Upstate Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Fabiola Pinckney; his children, Renzie Pinckney and Jannie Binns (Will), and their mother, Laurie Pinckney, and Cooper Pinckney and his mother, Mitzie Pinckney; and one granddaughter, Vivian Binns.
Michael was known for his adventurous spirit, his generous heart, and his deep love for the outdoors. Whether he was boating across a quiet lake, casting a fishing line, water skiing with friends, or simply playing in the mud like a kid at heart, Michael found joy in the natural world and shared that joy freely with others.
He had a special talent for building things, not just with tools and wood but through the connections he made with people. He was always ready to stop and help, no matter the time or place. That selflessness was simply part of who he was.
Michael had a fondness for the color green, maybe because it reminded him of everything he loved: nature, life, growth, and the calm that comes with it. He never passed up a chance to visit the emus, who always seemed to bring him a quiet kind of happiness that only he could explain.
To know Michael was to love him. His presence was steady, his laughter was contagious, and his heart was full. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
Michael leaves behind a lifetime of memories, countless people who were better for having known him, and a reminder to live fully, love deeply, and never be afraid to get a little muddy.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Cannon Byrd Funeral Home – Simpsonville, 313 N. Main St., Simpsonville, SC.
The family will receive friends following the service.
