Matilda Burgos

Matilda Burgos, 81, widow of John J. Burgos, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.  Born in Bronx, NY, she was a daughter of the late Gregory and Mary Morales Alzamora.

Matilda is survived by her sons, John Eric Burgos and his wife, Sarah, and Richard Burgos both of Simpsonville; seven grandchildren, Robert Burgos and his wife, Sheridan, of Greer, Matthew Burgos of Greenville, Lisa Daily and her husband, Mike, of Greer, Brittany Stecher and her husband, Chris, of Greer, Charlie, Andrew, and Madeline Burgos of Simpsonville; three great grandchildren; two siblings, Louie Alzamora of Puerto Rico and Olga Carrion of Connecticut.

In addition to her husband and parents, Matilda was preceded in death by her siblings Charlie, Rosie, Esther, Lucy, and Gloria and a dear friend Dominick. A Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church on Monday, June 14, 2021 beginning at 10:00 am.
