Mae Cha Kim Butler
Mae Cha Kim Butler, 74, of Simpsonville passed to her life eternal on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Mae Cha was born in Japan to the late Soon Jon Kim and the late Sun Yi Kim after they moved from Korea. She met her former husband, Junior Allen Butler, in Korea while he was serving in the United States Army. After Mr. Butler finished his service in the Army, the family moved to Ohio.
Mae Cha is survived by three daughters, Jeannie Forrest and her husband, Richard, of Simpsonville, Anita Butler, and Joyce Ressler and her husband, Jim, all of Columbus, OH; six grandchildren, Brittany Forrest, Brooke Forrest, Brady Forrest, and Brent Forrest, all of Simpsonville, and Jackson Ressler and Jacob Ressler, both of Columbus, OH; a sister, Kil Ja Jeon; a nephew, Seung Cheol Jeon; and a niece, Min Jeong Jeon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Greenville Korean United Methodist Church, 209 Connecticut Avenue, Greer, SC 29650.
A visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Greenville Korean United Methodist Church in Greer on Sunday at 2:00 pm.
Me, Cameron and Kai will be thinking and praying for comfort and peace for the entire Butler family. We love you all!
