Joyce L. Bramlett

Joyce Lee Bramlett, 89, of Walhalla, SC, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, SC. Born and raised in Walhalla, she was a loving wife or 62 years to the late Kenneth Robert Bramlett, Sr., the only man she ever wanted to marry.

During their marriage, Joyce and Kenneth Sr. lived in Greenville, SC, Southern Pines, NC and Charlotte, NC, and they raised four sons. In addition to her roles as loving spouse and mother, Joyce worked for many years as a registered nurse until a car accident forced her into an early retirement. Following Kenneth Sr.’s death in 2019, Joyce returned to Walhalla with her son Steve to be closer to her remaining brother and sisters. Steve passed away unexpectedly in December 2023.

Joyce is survived by three sons, Kenneth Robert Bramlett, Jr. and his wife Renee, of Charlotte, NC, Russell Eric Bramlett of Waynesville, NC, and Daniel Lewis Bramlett and his wife, Nancy, of White Water, CO.; and four grandchildren, Lacy Marie Bramlett, Russell Eric Bramlett, Jr, James Morgan Bramlett and Samuel William Bramlett.

Joyce is also survived by two sisters Peggy McCall of Walhalla, Marcia Hawkins and her husband Roger of Walhalla and brother Leon Lee and his wife Louise of Walhalla.

Joyce will be laid to rest next to Kenneth at a Graveside Service to be held Friday, July 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Bramlett United Methodist Church, 2043 Bramlett Church Rd, Gray Court, SC 29645.
