Dear Family, It is bittersweet when a loved one passes. We are happy for them to be with the Lord but at the same time we are filled with sorrow as we face life without them. However the memories we built with them over the years will keep us reflecting on those precious moments. May God bring peace to your heart and comfort you as only He knows how during the difficult periods of grief. Sincerely, Doris Moore Powell

Kade, Kristen and Wendy. My heart goes out to you with your mom/nanny’s passing. There are no words that will be of comfort at this moment, I’m sure, but know that you have been loved and cherished by her your whole lives. She is always there for you even now. Just not the way you would like her to be. Losing a loved one is not easy, as you all know, but I would give you this advice. Spend time remembering all the wonderful things she did, all the wonderful and happy times you had with her. Hang on to those. They are precious and will get you through adjusting to not having her physical presence. She will always be there, her love will never stop. She always spoke of you all with love and understanding. You were very important to her. Know that and remember that. If there is anything I can do for you, please ask. Grief is a process and it is one that we all do differently. I am holding you all in prayers for strength, peace, and love at this time and always.
