Janet Beverly Voorhis (Jacobus) Lee, 90, of Simpsonville, SC passed away on July 29, 2025.
Janet was born August 11, 1934, in Oneonta, NY. She was predeceased by her parents John Jacob Voorhis and Clara Belle Tompkins Voorhis, brother Daniel Earl Voorhis and former husband Roger V. Jacobus Sr.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Norman Reece Lee, three daughters Donna Lee Jacobus (Ocean Springs, MS), Debra Louise Sorrell and husband (Steve) (Wedgefield, SC), and Kerry Lynn Reed (Holly Hill, SC), one son Roger V. Jacobus Jr and wife (Diane)(Silver Spring, MD), one nephew John Jacob Voorhis and wife Sandi (Greenville, SC), six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Janet was raised in the village of Portlandville, NY and graduated from Milford Central High School in 1952. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
My deepest condolences uncle Norman, Kerry -Debbie-Donna and Roger. I will never forget Aunt Janet. From the family reunions that started in San Antonio Texas every summer. To driving up to Woodbridge VA from Fort Bragg NC to spend the holidays. I loved Aunt Jane’s laugh. She was a good woman, mother, wife, grandmother. She will be missed terribly. I love you Aunt Janet and may you rest in peace now reunited with your mother, father, brother. John Jacob Voorhis 2nd.
