Horacio A. Lama
It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of, Horacio Anibal Lama, 83, of Fountain Inn, SC, a devoted husband of Luz Lama, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025. Born in Argentina, he was the son of the late Constantino and Isabel Gordon Lama.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Kevin Lama and Isabel Rood (Darren); three grandchildren, Hayleigh Lama, Bryan Rood, and Alyssa Rood; and a sister, Dori Lama.
For 54 years, he was the bedrock of his family and a constant companion to his beloved wife, Luz. He was a wonderful Father, adored his grandchildren, was an esteemed colleague, and an amazing friend to all who were blessed to have him in their life.
Horacio was defined by his character. He was unfailingly considerate – the kind of man who always thought of others before himself—and generously gave of his time, his talents, and his heart
Not only was he the hardest worker you have ever met but was also a gifted artesian jeweler. He spent countless hours at his bench, transforming raw materials into beautiful treasures that will be worn and cherished for generations.
He saw the beauty in every moment, to appreciate a good cup of coffee, a delicious piece of french toast, the joy of a beautiful car ride, the lovely sounds of Jazz and Frank Sinatra, and the value of giving with an open heart.
While his workbench may now be silent, the legacy of his kindness, the sparkle of his jewelry, the echoes of his favorite songs, the lessons he taught us, the memories we made, and his love remain with us forever.
“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to be gone forever.”
The family will have a private ceremony to scatter the ashes of their beloved Husband, Father, and Grandpa Horacio to honor his memory.
