Helen Pressley Weathers
Helen Pressley Weathers, 92, of Fountain Inn, widow of H. Alton Weathers, daughter of the late Martin Luther and Cora Henderson Pressley passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020.
She was a lifelong resident of the Fountain Inn area and longtime member of Beulah Baptist Church, where she worked with children and served as a Sunday School Teacher. She attended and finished Fork Shoals High School in 1945.
Mrs. Weathers is survived by a daughter, Susan Weathers Power and her husband, Rick, of Simpsonville; a grandson, Barrett H. Power and his wife, Cassie, of Fountain Inn; granddaughter, Kathryn Susanne Power, of Simpsonville; and three great-grandchildren, Mary Ellis, Hunter and Tanner Power all of Fountain Inn.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Marvin Pressley.
A Funeral Service will be held at Beulah Baptist Church on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Chris Bryan officiating. Due to COVID-19, the family and funeral home requests that those in attendance wear a mask.
Entombment will follow in the Cannon Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum. The family will receive friends following the committal service.
Mrs. Weathers will be available at Cannon Funeral Home for viewing and those wishing to offer their respects on Wednesday, September 9, from 1:00 – 5:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: McCall Hospice House, 1836 W. Georgia Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
Susan, our deepest sympathy to you and your family in the loss of your mother! She was a friend indeed! Our love and prayers go out to you now and in the days ahead!

Helen is now with Mr. Alton and her savior Jesus Christ. Where else would anyone want to be? Rest in peace Helen and please tell Alton that we all miss him.
Mrs. Helen was a sweet and precious friend. I know she is happy to be reunited with Mr. Alton. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Katie,Susan and Barrett we are praying for you and your families. Mrs. Helen was the sweetest lady we have ever known. She was a wonderful friend and we will miss her greatly. We were truly blessed to have her and Mr. Alton in our lives. We know she is happy to be with Mr. Alton again.
