Delores Carolyn Hanson
Delores Carolyn Hanson, 75, widow of George D. Hanson, of Fountain Inn, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022. Born in Tifton, GA, she was a daughter of the late Dan and Catherine Bearden Taylor. Carolyn retired from Kemet Corporation Electronics, Fountain Inn after over 40 years.
Carolyn is survived by five children, George Dan Hanson (Heather Atchley) of Fountain Inn, Cathy Hanson (Erik Wood) of Gray Court, Donna Davis (Michael Crianza) of Fountain Inn, Robert Hanson of Fountain Inn, and Marie Hanson Leroy (Greg) of Fountain Inn; eleven grandchildren, Catherine Galliher, Brandy Meek (Kenny), Brittney Hanson, Robert (Robby) Hanson, II, Larry Don’l Hanson, Kristine Gibson (Will), Destanie Hanson, Austin Lockaby, Lila Atchley, Randi Atchley, and Maelee Atchley; 23 great grandchildren; and one sister, Diane Evett of Gray Court.
In addition to her husband and parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Rick Nelson, Jr and Jamie Leroy; one sister, Linda Bayne; and one brother, James Taylor.
A visitation will be held at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, beginning at 1:00 pm. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm.
Carolyn will be buried in Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park following the service.
